Cybersecurity and Resilience: EnerNex Leads the Sixth AmpUp Webinar

No matter how strong existing defenses may be, being prepared for a cybersecurity incident is essential. This was the key message of the sixth webinar in the AmpUp series, promoted by the United States Energy Association, which featured EnerNex – part of the CESI Group – in a leading role.

Facilitated by Scott Morgan of EnerNex, the webinar brought together Tony Assan, Head of IT at Ghana Grid Company (GRIDCo), and Michael Martin, Control Systems Engineer at Chelan County Public Utility District. The session focused on how utilities can strengthen their Incident Response Plans (IRPs) by effectively integrating supply chain cybersecurity considerations.

Key topics discussed during the webinar included:

• identifying critical systems, supporting assets, and relevant threat scenarios;
• assessing business impacts and leveraging existing risk analyses;
• developing and testing effective incident response playbooks;
• addressing key supply chain cybersecurity elements that every IRP should include.

Through practical insights, real-world examples, and actionable strategies, the session provided utilities with valuable tools to enhance their incident response capabilities and overall cybersecurity posture.
