Voluntary Product Certification and Inspection

Main Services as Accredited Body (CESI is a Type A Inspection Body accredited according to ISO/IEC 17020 and Accredited Body for Product Certification according to ISO/IEC 17065):

  • Inspection for  type testing  and factory acceptance tests (FATs) according to internationally recognised standards and customer specifications (CESI is a Type A inspection body accredited according to ISO/IEC 17020)
  • Conformity assessment following HV certification scheme for high voltage (>1000 V) electrical equipment as well as to the LV certification scheme for  low voltage  (< 1000 V) electrical equipment

Mandatory product certification ATEX according to Directive 2014/34/EU and IECEx

CESI is Notified Body No. 0722 appointed by Italian Ministry of Economic Development – MISE (today Ministry of Enterprises and Made in Italy – MIMIT) according to ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU – Equipment and protective systems intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres.
