Environment, Safety and Quality


For CESI, preventing pollution, minimizing the environmental impacts of its
activities and compliance with applicable legal requirements are fundamental requirements. Our Environmental Management System is the framework for ensuring we minimize our impact upon the environment. It sets out the resources and training that are needed, and the controls that must be in place to ensure the company’s operations limit their impact on the environment .

Health and Safety

Safeguarding the health and wellbeing of employees and contractors is also core to the company’s operations, and is defined in our Health and Safety Management System.


CESI aims to provide the highest quality products and services, with a
Quality Management System based on the following principles:

In order to better meet the needs and expectations of its stakeholders, our quality, health & safety and environment policies have been integrated into the CESI Management System. Under that management system, we commit to:
  • Establish and maintain a transparent relationship with our stakeholders, based on the principles of honesty, non-discrimination and respect set out in its Code of Ethics.
  • Ensure the quality of the products and services we offer, satisfying our customers’ needs by continuously improving the effectiveness and efficiency of our processes.
  • Respect all laws on safety at work; we do not implement or encourage the use of coercive practices or physical and psychological violence and we prohibit any form of discrimination.
  • Ensure impartiality and do not allow commercial, financial or other pressures to compromise the independence of judgement of our employees.
  • Ensure the responsible management of the information obtained or created during all the provided Services and ensure in every area the expected confidentiality.
  • Ensure our employees can develop their skills through the use of focused training programmes and continuous knowledge exchange.
  • Ensure a level of service that meets the expectations of our customers. We commit to ensure that our testing staff are familiar with the relevant policies and procedures to ensure they comply with our standards and mandatory requirements.
  • Ensure the availability of sufficient resources, training, planning and operations in relation to the quality of our products and services, the health & safety of our workers and the protection of the environment.
  • Ensure the health & safety at work of all workers involved in our processes, not only our own staff, but also customers, contractors, suppliers and visitors.
  • Ensure that all risks are evaluated and monitored, and that steps are taken to reduce risks, occupational diseases and accidents at work.
  • Share health & safety targets with our own workers so we can continuously improve working conditions.
  • Issue environmental protection targets and monitor the compliance and performance of our activities, in order to achieve continuous improvement.
  • Reduce our environmental impact and climate change through responsible management of resources.
  • Ask our partners and suppliers to reduce their own environmental impact.
