On 19 February, CESI took part in the RenPower Italy 2026 conference held in Milan, an event that brought together key institutional and industry stakeholders to discuss the evolving landscape of energy storage and the future of the Italian power system. Representing CESI as speaker was Alessio Cipullo, Head of Italy and EU Public Affairs , whose contribution stood out for its technical depth and forward-looking approach.

The first session of the conference offered a blend of institutional updates and market insights. Among the most anticipated interventions was that of MASE, with Director General Stefania Crotta outlining current and upcoming incentive schemes for energy storage systems, particularly those of smaller scale. Terna also contributed, providing an overview of the MACSE mechanism, its origins, and the results of the first auction.

CESI contributed to the second session with a presentation delivered by Alessio Cipullo, Head of Italy and EU Public Affairs,  which highlighted the importance of a multi-layer approach when evaluating opportunities related to the installation and integration of storage systems, the various revenue stacking options, and the crucial role of comprehensive testing. CESI’s perspective was well received and appreciated for offering a distinctive angle compared to the other presentations.
