Rome, 11 June 2026 – CESI took part in a meeting hosted by Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) with the World Bank and a select group of Italian companies active in emerging markets, reinforcing its role as an independent technical partner in development projects.
Held in Rome and with a high-level World Bank and CDP participation, the meeting provided a valuable platform for strategic exchange.
Representing CESI Alessio Cipullo, Italy and EU Public Affairs Manager, outlined CESI global footprint, spanning over 70 countries and more than 2,000 clients, with expertise across the full energy value chain.
CESI highlighted its track record supporting projects financed by multilateral development banks, particularly in Africa, where it has delivered over 40 initiatives across transmission, interconnections, and renewable integration. The Group reaffirmed its role across the entire project lifecycle—from system studies to procurement support and commissioning.
Discussions with the World Bank emphasized the growing focus on technical quality, transparency, and execution capacity in procurement, alongside the importance of early private-sector engagement. CESI echoed these priorities, underlining the need to further strengthen technical rigor and accelerate digitalization processes, especially in emerging regions.
The meeting marked another step in deepening collaboration with key institutional partners to advance resilient and sustainable energy systems worldwide.
