EnerNex at RE+: Driving the Future of the Grid

EnerNex, part of CESI Group, took an active role at this year’s RE+, the premier renewable energy event in North America. The discussions around grid transformation and modeling challenges proved more relevant than ever, reflecting the rapid evolution of the energy sector.

Our Breakfast & Learn session attracted a large and engaged audience, sparking dialogue on the expanding role of electromagnetic transient (EMT) modeling for inverter-based resources (IBRs). Led by Dave Mueller and Mariana Kamel, the session explored the practical realities of model fidelity, NERC requirements, and overall grid performance.

In addition, Dave Mueller presented his poster, “Ensuring the Reliable Operation of Renewable Power Projects,” during the official RE+ poster session. The discussions addressed the increasing complexity of AI-driven data centers and their impacts on power quality across today’s grids.
