On 26th February 2026, CESI proudly hosted the contract signature ceremony and project kick-off meeting for the next phase of the Black Sea Submarine Cable Project at our Milan headquarters. The event brought together representatives from Georgian State Electrosystem, the World Bank, and CESI’s team of experts for a day of collaboration, strategy, and innovation.

The ceremony featured the official contract signing by our CEO Nicola Melchiotti and Mr. Vano Zardiashvili, General Director of Georgian State Electrosystem, in the presence of Consul General of Georgia Natalia Kordzaia.

Guests also participated in a comprehensive project overview and discussions on the implementation strategy, followed by a tour of CESI’s state-of-the-art laboratories, showcasing our advanced testing and research capabilities.

The Black Sea Submarine Cable Project represents a major step forward in enhancing energy connectivity across Asia and Europe. CESI’s role encompasses the design, procurement, and supervision of seabed surveys under the Black Sea, ensuring both technical excellence and adherence to environmental standards.
