On October 21st, CESI Consulting took part in the Jordan Energy Roundtable organized by the EBRD in Amman, bringing together key energy leaders and experts, including Jordan’s Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources, H.E. Dr. Saleh Al-Kharabsheh.
Represented by Ulderico Bagalini, Power Transmission Planning Director, CESI Consulting contributed to the session “Balancing the electricity grid with high shares of renewables.” Bagalini’s presentation focused on how advanced technologies and regional interconnections can help overcome the challenges of integrating variable renewable energy sources (VRES) into power systems.
Highlighting Jordan’s growing renewable capacity — already 26% of the energy mix and expected to reach 50% by 2030 — he emphasized the need for grid flexibility, energy storage solutions, and cross-border cooperation to ensure reliability and resilience.
Through its expertise, CESI Consulting continues to support sustainable energy development and the creation of more robust and interconnected power systems across the region.
