We are proud to announce our participation in the STEM Women Congress 2025, taking place today October 15 in Milan.
During the event, Roberta Campesato, CESI Space Scientific Director, will take part in the panel titled “From the Depths to the Stars and Back”, sharing her expertise in advanced technologies from laboratory research to industrial production. Graduated in Physics from the University of Milan, Roberta Campesato has held increasingly senior roles in research institutes and leading companies, becoming a role model and source of inspiration for young women exploring careers in STEM fields.
“My passion for solar energy began at university, but it is thanks to CESI that I was able to turn it into a concrete career. Here, I have developed both technical and managerial skills, led a team, and contributed to innovative solar cell projects for space applications, bringing together research, production, and innovation” says Roberta.
CESI’s participation in the STEM Women Congress follows the company’s recent entry into Women at Business, an Italian platform promoting the recognition, development, and networking of women in professional settings. This move reflects CESI’s strong commitment to gender equity and female leadership in science and technology, providing concrete opportunities for growth and visibility.
“We are delighted to welcome CESI to Women at Business: it sends a strong signal that spaces for female leadership in energy and engineering are essential, and research clearly shows that this contributes to growth and productivity”, adds Laura Basili of Women at Business.
Through its membership in Women at Business and participation in the STEM Women Congress, CESI reaffirms its mission to promote inclusion, recognize women’s skills, and advance global scientific innovation.
