CESI at CIGRE Türkiye Power Systems Conference IV in Ankara

Over the past few days, the CESI Consulting team participated in the 4th Power Systems Conference (GSK2025) organized by CIGRE Türkiye in Ankara (November 5–6, 2025). Their engagement focused on advancing the discussion around HVDC systems in Turkey’s evolving power grid.

On the second day, the conference featured a panel titled “HVDC Systems in Türkiye’s Grid Transformation Process”, held under the moderation of Zia Emin (EPRI). The panelists included Serhat Metin (Planning & Investment Management, TEİAŞ), Stefano Malgarotti, Director of Power Transmission Engineering, CESI Consulting, Doç. Dr. Hakan Ergun (KU Leuven University), Benedikt Kurth (Hitachi).

During this session, Stefano Malgarotti shared CESI’s international expertise, shedding light on global best practices, the opportunities, and the challenges in deploying HVDC systems within large-scale transmission projects.
