As a test engineer for Energy Meter you carry out different tests like metrological accuracy, software and reliability reviews, electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) tests and climatic and mechanical tests. Task and responsibilities

The candidate shall have advanced and well proven knowledge of the electrical power system modeling and static/dynamic behavior and shall also be acquainted on the application of the most common software tools for network modeling (e.g. mainly PSSE and DigSilent and their libraries/modules, but also Neplan, Etap or equivalent). He will have to perform simulation and analysis of complex power system steady state and dynamic behavior, develop mathematical models for reliability assessment of electrical networks, and deliver technical consulting/training services. In addition he will have to lead teams of study engineers in execution of consulting projects; provide critical technical guidance to team members. Skills: Extensive knowledge of transmission system planning and system reliability assessment, with experience in transfer capability analysis, optimal power flow analysis, steady state and stability analysis, as well as transmission expansion planning. Demonstrated expertise in development of dynamic simulation models, including models for advanced power systems technologies, such as renewable energy, FACTS and energy storage systems. Expertise in transient and voltage stability analysis, including reactive power planning. - Identify and prepare circuits and procedural sequences including measuring equipment and systems to meet test requirements using industry standards and/or Customer’s test plans.
- Assure all requirements of the KEMA Labs – Chalfont HSE and Quality Management programs are strictly adhered to during the test program.

- Monitor test program preparation and execution to ensure safety of the personnel and equipment utilized in conducting each test evolution. Provide technical direction to Test Operations personnel as necessary.
- Analyze the test results, prepare a comprehensive written Test Report and/or review the test results with the Customer. Assure accuracy of the Test Report and compliance with all applicable industry standards and Customer requirements as described in the Quote, and Test Plans.
- Assure that all written Test Reports strictly adhere to all requirements of the KEMA Labs – Chalfont Quality Management programs.

- Manage resolution of Customer invoicing questions
- In coordination with TIC Purchasing & Group Purchasing, administer KEMA-Powertest purchasing processes
- Manage resolution of Accounts Payable issues with Group Finance organizations
- Other duties as assigned by the Director KEMA-Powertest
