The new CESI webinar, “Energy: new technologies, new horizons”, will take place on May 27th (6.30pm – 7.30pm, CEST).
In the webinar, the discussion will focus on how smart and digital innovations can accelerate the energy transition, while also being cost-effective for economies worldwide. In this respect, the speakers will explore how innovative technology and also digitalization can positively impact power utilities while also facilitating sustainable solutions.
In this respect, the key speakers will be Charles Kolstad (Co-faculty Director and Energy Professor at Stanford University) and Daniel Merson Kammen (Professor of Energy at the University of California, Berkeley) both coordinating lead authors at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which was awarded the 2007 Nobel Prize. Hon. Alessia Rotta (Chair of the Committee for Environment, Territory and Public Works at the Italian Chamber of Deputies) will participate as well, and Patrizia Toia (Vice President of the European Parliament’s Committee on Industry, Research and Energy) has also been invited.
From the role of technology in boasting sustainability to the economic impact of clean energy tech and research, the speakers will analyze the topic of technological innovation in the “new normal” for companies in the energy sector and will help us to better understand the impact of technologies on the energy transition.
As our latest issue of CESI Energy Journal explored these same issues, the webinar will also expand upon them.
