In the webinar, Charles Kolstad (Co-faculty Director and Energy Professor at Stanford University) and Daniel Merson Kammen (Professor of Energy at the University of California, Berkeley), both coordinating lead authors at the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, which was awarded the 2007 Nobel prize, will discuss how new technologies and digital innovations are changing the energy sector. Hon. Alessia Rotta (Chair of the Committee for Environment, Territory and Public Works at the Italian Chamber of Deputies) will open the webinar with an introduction.
The discussion will focus on how innovative technology can accelerate the energy transition, while also being cost-effective for economies worldwide. In this respect, the speakers will explore how such innovations and also digitalization can positively impact power utilities while also facilitating sustainable solutions.
