“The Pandemic and the Power Sector”, Matteo Codazzi at Aspen’s digital seminar

Today, November 18th (at 6.00 – 7.00 pm CEST), our CEO Matteo Codazzi will participate to the digital seminar “The Pandemic and the Power Sector” organized by Aspen Institute Italia in partnership with CESI.

The seminar is the opportunity to launch the Aspenia issue “Green life matters” (link) made in partnership between CESI and Aspen Italy.

 In his presentation Codazzi focuses on a predictive study realized by CESI, which tries to investigate why COVID-19 has represented a stress test for the energy system and what this means for our energy future. CESI analysis compares the effect of the pandemic on energy systems to a “sneak peek” into the future, a preview of what (prior to COVID-19) had been forecasted for 2026. The reader can delve into the indications that are emerging for the next decade in terms of both sector development and new measures to be implemented to increase flexibility, a key pillar for managing systems with high percentage of renewables.

In the roundtable introduced by Giulio Tremonti (Chairmen of Aspen Institute Italia), our Group CEO will discuss our study and its significance on the impact of the pandemic on the power sector together with experts and academics of the sector such as Enrico Giovannini, John Hulsman, Cliff Kupchan and Nasser Saidi.
