Join our new webinar on Tuesday, July 28, 11.00 am (CEST). The ever-changing evolution of power systems, in combination with the need for flexibilization highlighted by the recent lockdown measures implemented globally, poses new challenges and requirements for the integration of variable renewable energy sources (VRES) into the grid.
Our speakers, Ulderico Bagalini (CESI’s Renewable Integration and Interconnection Leader) and Stefano Mandelli (Project Manager and Consultant at CESI), will present new connection requirements and main challenges to integrate VRES into the transmission system. Indeed, in recent years we have witnessed the development of technical requirements to connect VRES to the transmission system, which is developing remarkably to suit the evolving needs of the power system as the share of such generation increases following the targets of energy and climate policies.
In this respect, “Renewables: new connection requirements and main challenges to get them into the grid”, the new CESI webinar, will review the evolution of the connection requirements providing an outlook of the necessary grid impact and compliance studies to successfully get renewables into the network, in the context of the new paradigms, opportunities and challenges of the highly decarbonized electricity sector.
