Lusaka, November 28, 2018 – CESI is attending the conference “Enhancing the renewable energy transition in Zambia” organized by Res4Med, aiming to create an enabling environment for renewable energy investments in Sub-Saharan Africa countries. Francesco Rizzo, Africa Area Manager at CESI, will be speaker in the second session “A feasible roadmap to integrate variable renewable energy in the national electric system”, focused on the integration of non-dispatchable renewable energy in the national electric system .
The Conference has the goal to enable a dialogue on the latest insights for the deployment of renewable solutions in Zambia. The event is tailored for building on the ongoing policy dialogue and turns on the light on key topics for renewable energy deployment such as policy mechanism to enhance sustainable and bankable projects, technological and technical issues on and off-grid, capacity building and socio-economic benefits to local economies. The Conference is taking place in Lusaka, Zambia, at the Intercontinental Hotel.
