Jicable’15

​ CESI Group will be present with four papers at Jicable Conference in Versailles, France from 21st to 25th June.
Jicable is the main forum where you can meet with the major experts in AC and DC insulated power cables and their accessories, from low voltage and special cables up to ultra-high voltage cables as well as new cable technologies.
The papers presented by CESI offer interesting insights as to cable testing in HVAC/DC and diagnostic of HV cable systems. One study focuses, in fact, on the experiences gained in type testing some 150 kV 3 phase submarine cable system. A second paper will make a comparison between the performance of XLPE HVDC cable systems under Polarity Reversals procedures and those of MIND cable systems.
Diagnostic and monitoring systems for HV cable accessories issues will be investigated in the two other papers. It will be specifically discussed how Optical PD detection approach with new materials and measuring systems can overcome limitation of traditional electrical measurements such as weight, costs and electromagnetic interferences.
