38th STL Management Committee – Amagasaki, Japan
During the 38th meeting of the STL (Short-circuit testing Liaison) Management Committee, composed of representatives of each STL Member and held in Amagasaki (Japan) on the 24th-25th of May, Harald Glabsch (senior expert of IPH GmbH, one of the three platforms of CESI Group) was elected as Chairman of the STL Technical Committee for a period of three years 2012-2015.
The mandate of the STL Technical Committee is to guide and coordinate the works of the technical working groups which are dedicated to the development of the STL-Guides, where the interpretations of the IEC standards are agreed between the experts of the STL-Members, in order to guarantee the highest reliability of the test results and the highest quality of the Type Test Certificates they submit.
The initial nomination of Harald Glabsch was submitted by PEHLA (Association for electrical high-power testing) as STL-Member. This nomination has been actively supported by CESI Group from the very beginning and was based on the high qualifications of Harald Glabsch in this special field of activities.
Harald Glabsch has been working as an active member of the Technical Committee of PEHLA for more than 15 years, he joined the STL Technical Committee in 2001 and has been representing PEHLA in the STL Technical Committee continuously since 2003. Furthermore he is participating actively in the work
of IEC Maintenance Teams and therefore he has gathered huge experience in standardisation matters.
With this mandate, the 5th consecutive, CESI, co-founder of the STL in 1969, has been guiding the Technical Committee through his experts since 12 years, confirming once again the high reputation of CESI Group as technical leader in the testing business.
