Matteo Codazzi, CEO of CESI, took part to the conference on “New frontiers: Strategies and regions reshaping the future of Energy, Utilities & Mining” that was held in Dubai, United Arab Emirates from 12 to15 November 2012 and organized by the PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC).
On the agenda there were debates on energy transformation and industries’ convergence, impact of demographics on the future of smart cities, looking closer at the impact of technology on companies’ economic models and focus on regions of importance to EU&M sectors.
The Middle East is home to 40% of global gas reserves, over 50% of global oil reserves, and it is one of the major global gold mining and trading centers: the heart of global energy.
Following the opening address held by His Excellence Saeed Al Tayer (Managing Director and CEO of Dubai Electricity & Water Authority) and the Keynote presentation for the launch of IEA World Energy Outlook 2012 by Mrs. Maria van der Hoeven (IEA Executive Director), Matteo Codazzi (CEO of CESI) held a speech on “Energy transformation & smart cities ”.
The Global Energy, Utilities & Mining Practice appreciated Matteo Codazzi’ presentation: “was very interesting for us to hear about the smart strategy projects that CESI has developed and its efforts in sustainability. CESI’s views helped to shape a high level debate on the future of Energy sector and the engagement created a profound agenda that left the conference participants with many interesting observations and food for thought.”
