CESI Supports the Baltic States’ Synchronization with the ENTSO-E System

We are thrilled to see the Baltic States successfully synchronize with the ENTSO-E system. At CESI, we are proud to have played a role in this significant achievement by supporting most of these countries in setting up the necessary technical, market, and regulatory conditions to ensure system security during this transition.

Our involvement in the region dates back several years, with our participation in the European Commission’s flagship studies to foster the integration of the Baltic power market. In recent years, our mandates have primarily focused on supporting the development of critical infrastructures, such as the Synchronous Condenser in Lithuania and battery storage solutions in Latvia.

These projects have been crucial in supporting the stability and reliability of the energy system in the region, helping strengthen cooperation between the Baltic States and the rest of Europe.
