KEMA Labs Successfully Conducts Seismic Test on HV Breaker

KEMA Labs’s laboratory recently carried out an extremely challenging seismic test, demonstrating its expertise in high-voltage equipment testing. The test was conducted in accordance with the IEC TR 62271-300 standard on a 420kV circuit breaker. The complex nature of the test required the involvement of multiple teams and specialists, ensuring the highest level of precision and reliability.

To achieve the best possible results for the client, KEMA Labs deployed nearly 40 sensors, carefully monitoring every aspect of the test. The presence of both the manufacturer’s team and the end client’s representatives further highlighted the importance of this validation process.
