CESI’s 2023 Sustainability Breakthroughs

In 2023, CESI made significant strides in sustainability by approving its Group Sustainability Policy and adopting its first Group Sustainability Plan. The company is now sharing the results from its initial sustainability reporting exercise.

The 2023 Sustainability Plan reporting provides a detailed overview of the Group’s progress on key environmental, social, and governance (ESG) issues.

A key achievement was the assessment of CESI’s organizational carbon footprint. The company measured its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, recording a Global Warming Potential (GWPfossil) of 22,190.95 tons CO2eq in 2022. This measurement forms a baseline for future reductions and highlights CESI’s commitment to transparency in its environmental impact. Additionally, CESI implemented various initiatives to enhance energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact, demonstrating concrete steps toward minimizing its carbon footprint.

CESI also made substantial progress in supporting clients to enhance the sustainability of their products and services. Through numerous consultancy and testing projects, CESI assisted clients in integrating sustainable practices into their operations. The company actively monitored client satisfaction, ensuring that its services met the growing demand for sustainability. Moreover, CESI engaged in various sustainability and circularity initiatives, reinforcing its role in promoting sustainable development across the industry.

For 2024, the Sustainability Plan will continue most of the previous year’s initiatives while introducing new ones. The plan will set improvement goals for key performance indicators (KPIs) based on 2023 benchmarks. Aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN-SDGs), the plan aims to meet the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) requirements and further CESI Group’s vision for sustainability.
