On November 12, 2024, CESI’s CEO, Nicola Melchiotti, participated in the 9th Ministerial and Steering Committee Meeting at COP29 in Azerbaijan. Convened under the Agreement on Strategic Partnership in Green Energy Development and Transmission between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania, and Hungary, the gathering brought together ministers, senior representatives of major financial institutions, and CEOs of leading European companies.
The meeting focused on evaluating progress in the Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor project, highlighting achieved milestones and establishing the next critical steps to drive the corridor’s development. A key feature of the event was CESI’s presentation of preliminary findings from its Feasibility Study, led by CEO Melchiotti, who provided insights into projected green electricity and hydrogen infrastructure requirements, alongside the essential transmission frameworks needed to support this ambitious vision.
