On June 16th at 4:00pm (CEST), reserve time for the new webinar organized by CESI, Overcoming Energy Vulnerabilities. You can register to the webinar, free of charge, at this link.
In the webinar, which is based on the latest issue of CESI Energy Journal, the discussion will focus on the main vulnerabilities that affect the energy transition and their possible solutions, as the transition towards a carbon-free economy is a complex process that has a significant impact on the technology and supply systems that produce the necessary components.
In this respect, Sara Moarif (Head of Environment and Climate Change Unit of the IEA) and Sheila Hollis (Acting Executive Director of the United States Energy Association – USEA) will give their opinions on the global supply chain risks and opportunities, together with Bruno Cova (Advisory Services & Studies at CESI).
The IEA expert will offer her point of view of the main vulnerabilities that affect and slow down the energy transition from a European perspective, explaining that “the current crisis has also highlighted the importance of energy security and diversification in Europe.” Mrs. Hollis, on the other hand, will present the USA perspective on the current energy landscape and challenges, assessing energy independence beyond gas and critical minerals.
