From October, 16th to 19th, KEMA Labs has been at 2022 INMR world Congress in Berlin.
Our experts have welcomed all participants to our booth and presented, in two different sessions, our experience in the laboratory tests and in testing extruded cable systems up to 525 kV DC. In particular, Heiko Jahn explained the new HVDC waveshapes must be provided for tests outlining in addition the importance to test under real conditions. Heiko said, “Not all the test circuits are equivalent”. More details are available at this link.
Moreover, Bas Verhoeven described the trends of power cables testing, pointing out the lesson learn: independent certification is the key de-risk tool because it guarantees quality for both manufacturers and end users. In the end, Bas presented a percentage of tests failure that can be reduced either by maintenance and the use of tested and certified network components.
