CESI will attend the 7th AIEE Symposium on Energy Security 2022, which will be held virtually from Dec. 14 to 16. The conference is organized by the AIEE-Italian Association of Energy Economists (www.aiee.it), the Italian affiliate of the IAEE (www.iaee.org), with scientific input from the SDA Bocconi School of Management
This year’s edition will address emerging security challenges and opportunities arising from global efforts to lower CO2 emissions by reducing consumption of high-carbon energy sources, and will focus on the global energy crisis and its impact on the transition roadmap.
The event will be an opportunity to discuss energy security and will bring together leading academic voices as well as experienced practitioners and policymakers, providing an opportunity to “bridge the gap” between these sectors. Conference participants will identify critical issues and challenge competing perspectives, explore new and existing trends, creative solutions from new technologies, emerging market conditions and new market entrants.
For this important annual event, CESI will attend with three different speakers. The first one will be our President Guido Bertoni. On Dec. 14, during the opening day, he will give a talk titled “Ensuring energy security while maintaining an unhindered decarbonization model.” On Dec. 15 (H 11:50 a.m.-1:20 p.m.), Marco Cabano, Project Manager Consulting division CESI, will participate in the panel “Towards carbon neutrality, E-mobility and Energy independence in EU,” presenting the paper “Impact of e-mobility on distribution systems: the role of smart tariffs for vehicle grid integration.” On Dec. 16 (H 10:30-11:30 a.m.), the panel “Grid Security and New Technologies” will feature Massimo Salvetti, Grid Modernization & Innovation Director CESI.
