On Tuesday, July 20th (10.30am – 12.00pm, CEST), do not miss the new webinar organized by CESI, in partnership with Elettricità Futura: "Resilience and Energy Transition: the Energy Sector answer to Climate Change”.
The webinar is the occasion to discuss why, due to climate change, it is essential to further increase the resilience of the power grids to mitigate its effects ensuring the safety and adequacy of the system. In this regard, technology plays the role of enabler, thanks to tools such as data science, predictive maintenance and activities as testing and advanced monitoring systems. Such topics, and several others, will be assessed during the event.
Domenico Villani (Testing, Inspection and Certification Division – KEMA Labs Executive Vice President) will set the scene to explain what climate change and resilience mean for the electricity sector, and what technologies exist or are under development in this regard.
In addition, aside from Edison experts, Alessandro Bertani (Services & Smart Technologies Director – CESI), Riccardo Frigerio (Regulatory Affairs – Elettricità Futura), Francesco Marzullo (Grid Resilience Safety Plan Manager and Development Plan Manager – Terna) and Giovanni Valtorta (Network Design Construction and Standardization Manager – E-Distribuzione) will take part in the roundtable.
Finally, Hon. Martina Nardi (President of the Commission for Productive Activities, Commerce and Tourism at the Italian Chamber of Deputies) has been invited to close the event with an overview on the discussion.
