CESI supports the electricity market in Cyprus

The Electricity Authority of Cyprus (EAC) has awarded CESI Group a contract to provide consultancy services for the optimum resource utilization for the generation expansion of  the generation activity of EAC. CESI Group in consortium with the Italian company ESE, Engineering Services for Energy, will support EAC Generation in paving the way for the implementation of its future generating units in line with the European sustainability targets and the new paradigm of the electricity market of the Country.

The main goal of the project is to develop the generation expansion plan of EAC Generation for the next 20 years, which allows to define the yearly investment for the generating units of EAC, the expected production costs of the EAC generating units  and the new generation capacity required to meet the load demand of the mid and long terms. In this regard, CESI has implemented specific methodologies and tools able to determine the least cost investment plan of the new generation capacity in compliance with reliability requirements and other system performance standards.
