05 . Jun . 2017

Muscat, June 2017 – CESI FZE has been awarded a contract to support Shell Development Oman Company in the “Solar into School” project initiative. In collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Shell is contracting with Omani solar SMEs to install solar photovoltaic (PV) panels into public schools across the Sultanate over the next few years. CESI FZE provides Shell Development Oman Company a team of qualified engineers and Solar PV experts who will act as Shell’s Independent Engineer. The “Solar into Schools” project was identified as one of the two initiatives announced under Shell’s 5th Gift to The Nation in 2015.
After having developed several technical frameworks for PV integration to the distribution system in both the Sultanate of Oman and in the Emirate of Dubai, being the consultant for Shams Dubai, CESI will use this wide experience in commissioning of Solar PV systems in the Middle East, to provide expert opinion in the implementation of the PV systems into the distribution network of Oman. Under the presence of Shell representatives and Majan Electricity Company, CESI had a site inspection to one of the first pilot projects, to provide the required experience in the commissioning of the PV rooftop system.
