CESI AT THE 2017 INMR WORLD CONGRESS

Barcelona, November 6  2017 – CESI is at the 2017 INMR World  Congress, presenting two papers. On top of that, our company is pleased to welcome participants to its stand, n.° 59&60, in the exhibition area.
The first CESI paper “Trends in Energy & Electrical Power Worldwide & Impact on Development of T&D Systems” will be presented today by CESI Senior Advisor Alessandro Clerici, during the plenary session. It  consists of three main parts. The first part reviews  the present reserves of fossil fuels and the potentials of the different types of renewables. In the second part the current global  investments  are reported, with special reference to electricity and to T&D  share. The last part underlines the key role of transmission. On Wednesday 8, CESI managers Uberto Vercellotti and Pierpaolo Tucci will present their paper about “Safety Aspects of MV/HV Underground Cables & Accessories in Urban Areas”. In their paper they highlight situations of potential danger and the related tests recently performed in CESI in order to check possible solution to increase safety and reduce the possible consequences of injury from failures of cable and accessories in underground tunnel installations.
The 2017 INMR World  Congress from November 5 to 8 in Barcelona-Sitges will feature 85 papers and presentations by a group of experts in insulators, surge arresters , bushings, cable accessories and testing. In addition, engineers from power utilities across the globe will present their own views based on service experience. There is also a 3 day product & technology exhibition by world leading suppliers of network components as well as testing equipment and services.
