CESI Presents Key Findings at Baku Forum
28 . Oct . 2026

Last 22 October 2026, CESI took part in the Green Energy Corridor: From Feasibility Study to Implementation Forum, held in Baku, where the results of the feasibility study for the ambitious Caspian-Black Sea-Europe Green Energy Corridor were presented to international investors and financial institutions for the first time.

The project, developed under the strategic partnership between Azerbaijan, Georgia, Romania and Hungary, is designed to strengthen Europe’s energy security while accelerating the integration of renewable energy resources across the region.

According to the feasibility study, the approximately 3,000-kilometre corridor is expected to reach a transmission capacity of 4 GW and support the development of at least 8 GW of renewable generation capacity. It could enable the delivery of around 20 TWh of clean electricity annually to Europe from 2040, while reducing carbon emissions by up to 3.6 million tonnes per year.

During the forum, Andrea Meola, Global Markets & Business Development Director at CESI Consulting, presented key findings, outlining the project’s technical feasibility and long-term value for regional energy integration. The forum also focused on the corridor’s commercial viability, financing framework and implementation roadmap, as stakeholders advance preparations toward the targeted Final Investment Decision in 2029.

Bringing together government representatives, international financial institutions, utilities, technology providers and investors, the forum marked an important milestone in transforming the Green Energy Corridor from concept to implementation, reinforcing its role as a strategic infrastructure project supporting Europe’s clean energy transition.
