CESI participated in the World Bank Group – Italian Private Sector Event: Procurement Opportunities in Energy, held on 10 July at the World Bank’s headquarters in Rome.
The event brought together institutional and private-sector representatives to discuss procurement opportunities and key energy priorities, including energy access, grid development, renewable integration, and power system digitalization. CESI was represented by Alessio Cipullo, Italy and EU Public Affairs Manager. With the World Bank Group financing more than USD 250 billion in investments annually and generating over 40,000 procurement opportunities worldwide, participants highlighted the importance of early engagement, a thorough understanding of operational frameworks, and the development of long-term strategic partnerships to successfully contribute to international development projects.
The meeting also highlighted the successful ESMAP–World Bank study visit to Italy, organized and hosted by CESI in May 2026. CESI was publicly thanked for its contribution to the initiative, which promoted knowledge sharing and international cooperation on sustainable energy development.
Building on its global experience and long-standing collaboration with the World Bank, CESI continues to support governments, utilities, and financial institutions in developing reliable, sustainable, and resilient energy systems.
