LV switchgear assemblies are undoubtedly the components of the electric installation more subject to the direct intervention of personnel (operations, maintenance, etc.). In case of wrong action or external fault an arc’s fault may happen and result in catastrophic damages. Such damages might be reduced using arcing fault mitigation devices with quenching time of less milliseconds. Thanks to its widely recognized expertise, our KEMA Labs Berlin laboratory has supported the manufacturers of these devices by making the new specific available for both the operational staff and the laboratories, contributing significantly to the realization of the technical specification. During this webinar, Cristian La Salvia, Market and Product Development Manager Low Voltage KEMA Labs, and Ronald Borchert, Senior Test Engineer Low Voltage KEMA Labs, will introduce the existing IEC product standard and relationships.
