CESI is supporting Saudi Electricity Company in implementing a high power HVDC Project in the Saudi Power Grid.
The power supply plan has been developed to feed 3000 MW as future load of NEOM Phase-II Projects by constructing two 525kV HVDC convertor stations, one at Yanbu and the other at NIC South, with the associated expansion and the DC overhead transmission lines.
CESI has provided Consultancy Services as an Owner’s Engineer for the above two converter stations and includes the following:
1) Preparation of draft and final scope of work – technical specifications complete with detailed specifications for each main equipment
2) Technical support during contract procurement
