Consultancy Services for Engineering Supervision and Site Management for the Rehabilitation of Transmission SCADA Systems

The project aims to implement a full-scale state-of-the-art SCADA, EMS and telecommunication systems to monitor and manage in a safe and reliable manner the relevant Nigerian electrical network as well as monitoring energy exchanges in the interconnected zones. The project will also include the implementation of Remote Terminal Units (RTUs) and related adaptation works at relevant substations.

The major components for the rehabilitation of the SCADA Systems are:

  • SCADA & EMS Systems
  • Control Centre Building & Associated Auxiliary Systems
  • Remote Terminal Units and Adaptation Works
  • Fibre Optic Cables & Telecommunication Network
  • Training

The project is divided into three main phases:

  • Phase 1 – Bidding Phase
  • Phase 2 – Implementation assistance and supervision for the supply and installation of the Rehabilitation of the Transmission SCADA Systems
  • Phase 3 – Defect Liability Period

CESI scope of work includes:

  • Procurement support for the selection of the design, supply and installation contractor for SCADA/EMS system
  • Construction Supervision of the EPC Contract, including detailed engineering design review, site supervision and commissioning works
  • Training of selected Client’s staff

CESI provides overall management on all aspects of the work/services together with the necessary level of independent quality assurance and control of the work.
