LV components

Low Voltage systems present different problematics and fault conditions if compared to MV and HV systems.
Moreover several manufacturers from every country in the world are trying to enter the global market with their products, strongly competiting on the price, and threatening the quality of the overall offer of components.

In order to minimize the manufacturer’s product liability risks and thus to protect the end-user, CESI Group is continuosly developing a LV competence centre in its german platform in Berlin (IPH) and improving the test capabilities, disposing already of one of the biggest LV test laboratory worldwide.

Our testing laboratories are distributed over the three platforms and include:


CESI Group is a third-party testing authority with over 50 years of experience in testing of a vast range of LV equipment and components. It is a leading laboratory for DC testing and engaged in the development of testing methods for new technologies such as HVDC transmission. Besides being a certifier itself, CESI Group cooperates also in the field of LV testing with internationally recognized product certification institutions such as Intertek (ASTA), DEKRA (KEMA KEUR), LOVAG, VDE and others. The experts of the LV laboratory are also contributing to the further development of the respective International Standards by their work in international standardization bodies and organizations.​
