Our state of the art triple junction cells can convert the solar radiation into electricity with the efficiency above 30% in space applications and above 40% in terrestrial applications, and are manufactured using III-V compounds (GaAs and InGaP) as base material.

The characteristics of solar cells developed by CESI are:
Solar cells for space applications: Solar cells toward 35% efficiency, using new materials, nano-structures and multi junction technologies. The cells are built using modules InGaP (Indium Gallium Phosphide) and GaAs (gallium arsenide). The most important feature is the resistance: more than 30 years of life and temperatures from -250°C to +300°C.
Solar cells for terrestrial concentration systems: The terrestrial application of these high efficiency solar cells is economically convenient for concentrator photovoltaic systems (CPV). In this application, triple junction solar cells demonstrated to overcome 40% of conversion efficiency.
