What you need

The growing needs of interconnections between networks from different countries, or inside a single country, have showed the necessity of technologies with high voltage direct current which are preferred for long distances, submarine cables or asynchronous networks. The introduction of HVDC section inside an electric system requires that the transmission operator or the investor, if we are talking about a merchant line, to produce a study of different parameters for the best technical/economic evaluation of the investment.
